Discord Inc. operates the Discord voice, video and text communication service and its desktop and mobile clients. Basic use is free, with optional paid Nitro subscriptions and other purchases under Discord's Paid Services Terms.

Discord grants a worldwide, non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and non-assignable licence to download, install and run its client software solely to access its services.[1]
The terms prohibit copying, modifying, distributing, selling, leasing or sublicensing Discord software, and reverse engineering or decompiling it without written consent unless law permits.[2]
Discord does not charge a fee for the basic functionality of its services; paid features are governed by the Paid Services Terms.[3]
Users must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required in their country to use Discord.[4]
Nitro is sold as a monthly subscription in two tiers, Nitro Basic and Nitro, with larger upload limits and other perks in the higher tier.[5]
