Digifort

Digifort develops the Digifort video management system (VMS) and add-on modules such as licence plate recognition, video analytics, face recognition and alarm and automation. It is sold in editions and camera-based licences through certified system integrators and distributors.

  1. Digifort VMS is offered in Explorer, Standard, Professional and Enterprise editions; Standard is positioned for up to 32 cameras, while Enterprise supports an unlimited number of cameras.[1]

  2. The Digifort Mobile Client is a complement to the Digifort Server and does not require a licence; the Digifort Mobile Camera app consumes one camera licence, as if it were an IP device.[2]

  3. Digifort InSight, a Windows screen-capture module that acts as an IP camera, encapsulates a camera licence on the Digifort server.[3]

  4. Digifort products are sold through certified system integrators and distributors.[4]

  5. Product registration uses the Digifort server's counter password to generate a registration code that is entered into the software; unregistered products have limited upgrade opportunities and technical support.[5]

  6. In VMS version 7.4.2 some licence part numbers changed; for example IPX Analytics and SAFR facial recognition integrations now need their own integration licences instead of Edge Analytics licences.[6]
