DevExpress
DevExpress (Developer Express Inc.) makes UI component libraries and developer tools for .NET, Delphi and JavaScript, including the Universal and DXperience subscriptions, DevExtreme, reporting tools and CodeRush. Products are licensed per developer as 12-month subscriptions for updates and support, with continued use of licensed versions after expiry.
Licensing at a Glance
- Subscription
- Perpetual licence
- Named user
DevExpress licenses its components and development tools on a subscription basis lasting 12 months, which can be renewed for another year of product updates and technical support.[1]
Each developer within an organisation must obtain an individual licence for DevExpress UI components and development tools.[2]
If a subscription is not renewed, the customer can keep using the last version obtained; the 12-month period applies to new versions and updates, not to rights of use.[3]
DevExpress does not charge royalties for redistributing components integrated into applications, provided all products used are validly licensed; each product's EULA states whether it includes redistributables.[4]
Renewal costs increase 30 days after a subscription expires, with further monthly increases after the 13th month.[5]
