- dbt v1 version support. Each dbt v1 minor version is supported for one year from its initial release: active patching first, then critical (security and installation) fixes once a newer minor ships, then end of life. [1]
- dbt v2 version support. dbt v2 uses semantic versioning from 2.0; the vendor lists a support level and end date per release line. [1]
- dbt platform release tracks. The hosted dbt platform is upgraded continuously through release tracks (v2 Nightly, Stable, Extended, Fallback; v1 Latest, Compatible, Extended, Fallback) instead of pinned versions. [2]
