DBeaver

DBeaver publishes the open-source DBeaver Community database tool under the Apache License 2.0 and commercial PRO editions (Lite, Enterprise, Ultimate, Team Edition, CloudBeaver Enterprise and the dbvr CLI). PRO products are sold as annual subscriptions licensed per named user, with dbvr licensed per machine.

  1. DBeaver Community is free software that can be redistributed and modified under the Apache License version 2.[1]

  2. All DBeaver PRO licence types are distributed per named user, not concurrent user; every user accessing the software must be counted in the licence.[2]

  3. DBeaver has not sold new perpetual licences since version 23.3; existing perpetual licences remain usable, and a perpetual licence not renewed for more than 90 days can be reactivated only as a yearly subscription.[3]

  4. When a subscription ends, access to DBeaver is blocked, including the product, technical support and updates.[4]

  5. The dbvr CLI is licensed per server: each server needs its own key, a key can move only if the original server is fully shut down, and the number of users per server is not limited.[5]

  6. Lite, Enterprise and Ultimate editions are sold as annual subscriptions that include product usage, updates and support for one year; a 14-day trial is available and students can request a free academic licence.[6]
