Datamine

Datamine develops software for mining exploration, geology, mine planning, production and laboratories, including the Studio product family. All Datamine products require a licence managed through its License Services system, which supports standalone and network licensing.

Licensing at a Glance

  • Floating / network
  • Node-locked
  • Concurrent user
  1. All Datamine products and components require a licence to run; simpler products use a single core-component licence, while more complex products comprise many individually licensed components.[1]

  2. License Services runs in Desktop, Department or Enterprise mode; Desktop mode is the default and supports one licence per product, and more licences require a Department or Enterprise server.[2]

  3. When a product starts it locks an available licence, which is released for other users when the product closes; licences can be checked out for a set period for offline laptop use.[3]

  4. License Services controls software upgrades in accordance with purchased maintenance and supports transfer of licences between desktops and laptops.[4]

  5. Datamine's support portal and resources are available only to customers with maintained licences.[5]
