Cyrus IMAP
The Cyrus team develops Cyrus IMAP, an email, contacts and calendar server, and Cyrus SASL, an authentication library used by many other programs. Both are free and open source under a BSD-style licence from Carnegie Mellon University.

Cyrus IMAP is an email, contacts and calendar server, and is free and open source.[1]
All versions of the Cyrus IMAP server are copyright Carnegie Mellon University and may be redistributed in source and binary forms, with or without modification, subject to the licence conditions.[2]
The licence prohibits using the name Carnegie Mellon University to endorse derived products without permission and requires redistributions to keep an acknowledgment of software developed by Computing Services at Carnegie Mellon University.[3]
Cyrus SASL (CMU libsasl) is likewise copyright Carnegie Mellon University under a BSD-style redistribution licence.[4]
