Crestron

Crestron Electronics makes control, automation and AV systems together with embedded device software, development tools, on-premises software and cloud services such as Crestron Fusion and XiO Cloud. Its software is licensed under separate EULAs for embedded software, development tools, on-premises software and cloudware.

  1. Crestron publishes separate licence agreements for embedded device software (Crestron Software EULA, Unified Communications EULA, Automate VX EULA) and for software development tools.[1]

  2. The Crestron Software EULA grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, limited licence; the software is licensed, not sold.[2]

  3. Under the Crestron Software EULA, the permitted use is to operate or communicate with a Crestron device and other devices controlled by it; reverse engineering and derivative works are prohibited.[3]

  4. Crestron Fusion On-Premises, Crestron Virtual Control (VC-4) and DM NVX CPU-based software are covered by an On-Premises Software License and Maintenance Agreement.[4]

  5. Crestron Fusion Cloud and Crestron XiO Cloud are covered by a Cloudware License Agreement, with a separate addendum for complimentary-subscription cloudware.[5]
