Corel
Corel Corporation publishes CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Painter, PaintShop Pro, VideoStudio, WordPerfect and related consumer and professional software. Its products are sold as perpetual or subscription licences under a common EULA with product-specific terms.
Licensing at a Glance
- Perpetual licence
- Subscription
- Per device
- OEM / bundled
The EULA is a contract with Corel Corporation made up of General Terms and product-specific Specific Terms; the software is licensed, not sold, and the Specific Terms govern in a conflict.[1]
For CorelDRAW, Painter, PaintShop Pro, WordPerfect Office and related products, a subscription or perpetual licence allows installation on up to two devices, but use on only one device at a time.[2]
Installation on terminal servers, hardware partitions, blades, virtual or networked environments requires a separate licence agreement with Corel.[3]
Under these EULA terms a customer may hold up to five licences; organisations needing more must buy the business edition under the business licence agreement (BULA), where available.[4]
Academic, home and student editions may be used only for educational or private purposes, not for commercial or for-profit work.[5]
OEM versions are tied to the OEM device, receive no updates, upgrades or support, and expire when the OEM product stops working.[6]
