1. Checkmk Community is free and open source and described as scalable up to about 100 hosts; Checkmk Pro starts from EUR 190 per month and Checkmk Ultimate from EUR 275 per month, both billed annually.^[1]

2. Infrastructure monitoring subscriptions are priced and sized by the number of monitored services (individual aspects of a host such as a file system or switch port), with hosts used only as an approximate sizing reference of about 30 services per host.^[2]

3. After a self-hosted trial expires, the installation continues in a free mode limited to 750 services and one site.^[3]

4. The EULA grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the licensed self-hosted edition during the subscription term, on systems owned by or exclusively assigned to the customer or its affiliates.^[4]

5. Customers must perform licence verification of self-hosted installations and provide Checkmk with information on the number of monitored services and, where applicable, synthetic tests and custom metrics.^[5]

6. The Checkmk source code repository is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.^[6]
