Check Point Software Technologies

Check Point Software Technologies makes network, cloud and endpoint security products, including firewall appliances and management software. Products are licensed under its Software License Agreement, with the licensed configuration fixed by a License Key.

  1. The licence is non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable and is perpetual, except for products designated for a limited time period and hardware-bound licences valid only for the life of the original appliance.[1]

  2. The Licensed Configuration shown on the License Key can limit features, the number of users, devices or nodes on the protected network, the number of cores, or maximum throughput, and is the basis of the licence fee.[2]

  3. A License Key enables the product to operate on a Licensed-server identified by the host ID the customer gives Check Point; without a key the minimum configuration for the product applies.[3]

  4. Evaluation licences are valid only for the designated evaluation period, and Beta Products are licensed for evaluation purposes only for a limited period.[4]

  5. The licence is not a sale of the product, and Check Point may terminate the agreement for an uncured breach after thirty days.[5]
