ByteDance is a technology company whose desktop software includes the CapCut video editor, offered through Bytedance Pte. Ltd. CapCut is free to use with paid Premium Services sold as one-off purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions.

  1. The CapCut Terms of Service are an agreement between the user and Bytedance Pte. Ltd. and cover the CapCut mobile apps, CapCut Desktop version, CapCut Web version, Pippit, and related SDK and API.[1]

  2. Premium Services can be bought for a fixed billing period or as an automatic-renewal subscription paid in advance, monthly or at another interval shown on the purchase page, via Apple, Google or a CapCut account.[2]

  3. Whether CapCut-provided templates, clips, fonts, music and other Company Content may be used commercially depends on the product and is set out in the CapCut Materials License Agreement; for Pippit, commercial use of Company Content is expressly permitted.[3]

  4. Users receive a non-exclusive, limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to use Company Content for their projects.[4]

  5. When a Premium Services or Cloud Space subscription ends, the user's cloud storage capacity is suspended automatically.[5]
