- Symantec Endpoint Protection Support Life Cycle Policy. Broadcom keeps the latest generally available version under active engineering for at least 18 months, and a previous version gets six more months of support after a new GA version ships. [4]
- Symantec End of Service policy. End of Service means no further development, engineering or support for a version, and Broadcom aims to give at least 12 months of notice before a version EOS or product EOL. [6]
- End of General Support and End of Technical Guidance (VMware). After End of General Support a VMware version enters a technical guidance phase with support for low-severity cases only, then reaches End of Technical Guidance. [3]
- Carbon Black Cloud sensor life cycle. A sensor release moves from Standard to Extended Support and then End of Support, giving at least 12 months to upgrade after the next release. [16]
- Network Protection End-of-Life Policy. Defines end of life, end of maintenance and long-term release terms for Symantec Network Protection appliances and software, including two years of notice for EOL. [18]
