BlackBerry, formerly Research In Motion, makes secure communications and unified endpoint management software and the QNX embedded software platform. Its enterprise software is licensed under the BlackBerry Solution License Agreement according to the quantity, type and term of licences ordered.

  1. BlackBerry publishes separate legal terms for its Secure Communications software and services (including the BlackBerry Solution License Agreement and a client EULA for unified endpoint management) and for its QNX software and services.[1]

  2. The updated BlackBerry Solution License Agreement is effective as of May 20, 2021, and is published in several languages.[2]

  3. BlackBerry grants a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the BlackBerry Solution internally, subject to usage and time limits based on the quantity and type of licences and the licence term ordered.[3]

  4. The customer may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, transfer or use the BlackBerry Solution for timeshare or service bureau purposes.[4]

  5. BlackBerry may audit use of the BlackBerry Solution itself or through an independent auditor; a customer found to exceed its authorised usage pays the additional amounts at current list price, the reasonable audit costs and interest.[5]
