BioPDF

BioPDF ApS makes the bioPDF PDF Writer, a Windows printer driver that creates PDF documents from any application, positioned as the business edition of the Bullzip PDF Printer. It is sold as perpetual per-user licences in Standard, Professional and Expert editions, with site, server and redistribution licences and optional annual maintenance.

Licensing at a Glance

  • Perpetual licence
  • Named user
  • Site or enterprise-wide
  • Per server
  • OEM / bundled

  1. PDF Writer is priced per user in Standard, Professional and Expert editions with volume tiers (1, 2–9, 10–49, 50–199 and 200+ users), plus bundles for large organizations defined by numbers of users and servers.[1]

  2. Prices are a single payment, not a recurring subscription; site licences are valid for a single physical location, defined by a zip code.[2]

  3. Separate licences are offered for server, web and batch processing use (per server) and for software companies that redistribute the product, including an extended redistribution licence for up to 10,000 installations.[3]

  4. The first year of maintenance (support and free upgrades) is included; renewal is optional and costs 20% per year of the initial purchase amount, and lapsed customers upgrade at 80% of the current list price.[4]

  5. The licence agreement published on the site allows 10 copies of the product to be installed and used, requires a commercial licence beyond that, and requires a redistribution licence when the product is included with a commercial product.[5]
