AutoIt

AutoIt is a freeware BASIC-like scripting language for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting, written by Jonathan Bennett and the AutoIt Team. It is distributed under its own end-user licence agreement that allows unlimited installation and commercial use at no cost.

  1. AutoIt v3 is described by its authors as a freeware BASIC-like scripting language for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting.[1]

  2. The EULA allows installation and use of an unlimited number of copies, and reproduction and distribution of unlimited copies provided the copyright notices and EULA accompany them.[2]

  3. Commercial use is permitted, and scripts or compiled scripts created with AutoIt may be sold for profit and distributed freely.[3]

  4. The EULA does not treat compiled standalone executables generated by AutoIt as part of the licensed software product, and it prohibits reverse engineering or disassembly of AutoIt itself.[4]
