Release dates, version history and support and end-of-life dates as published by Autodesk. Dates within the next 12 months are highlighted; past dates are dimmed. Retrieved 2026-10-13.
Product support lifecycle. Support (technical support, software updates and hotfixes) covers current versions plus some previous versions on vendor-supported operating systems; activation for perpetual licenses of 2017 and earlier versions ended on 2026-07-01 and offline activation is no longer offered for 2021 and earlier. [1]
Previous version rights. Active subscribers may download eligible previous versions, listed per product (generally the current release and the three before it); the Education plan covers the current version plus three versions back. [2]
Automation API engine lifecycle. Each Automation API for AutoCAD engine has an initial release date, a deprecation date and a removal date. After removal, workitems that depend on the engine stop working. [22]
Release dates. Versions are dated by the release date shown on Autodesk’s release notes for the initial release of each yearly version, or by the month of Autodesk’s release announcement where only that is published. Autodesk does not publish an end-of-support date per yearly version; support is tied to the previous version rights policy above. [1][2]
Automation API for AutoCAD engines. Autodesk lists an initial release date, a deprecation date and a removal date per engine under its Engine Lifecycle Policy; the deprecation date is filed as end of standard support and the removal date as end of life. Other Automation API engines are not covered.
