Licensing at a Glance
- Perpetual licence
- Per device
- Site or enterprise-wide
Araxis Merge is sold as a perpetual licence that covers both Windows and macOS, with one year of upgrades included; after the first year the upgrade and support entitlement is optionally renewable annually.[1]
Merge is offered in a Standard Edition and a Professional Edition, the latter adding three-way file and folder comparison and merging; site or enterprise licences are available by contacting Araxis.[2]
A licence allows one copy to run on a single computer, and the primary user of that computer may run copies for their exclusive use on up to three additional computers; a licence may not be shared or used concurrently on different computers.[3]
An Enterprise Licence covers all users directly employed by one designated legal entity on any number of computers; a Site Licence covers such users whose primary workplace is one designated physical location.[4]
Evaluation use is limited to a trial period of up to 30 days, after which use must stop or a full licence must be acquired.[5]
The initial licensee may make a one-time permanent transfer of the EULA and software directly to an end user, who may not transfer it further.[6]
