APIS Informationstechnologien

APIS Informationstechnologien is a German publisher of FMEA and risk-analysis software, the APIS IQ-Software (IQ-FMEA, IQ-RM) and the CARM-Server. It licenses the software as dongle-bound single-seat licences or concurrent-user network licences.

  1. A single-seat licence (Einzelplatzlizenz) may be installed on one or more operating-system environments but can only be activated where the USB dongle is plugged in.[1]

  2. A network licence consists of licence-management software on a customer server or network drive and IQ-Software clients; the number of simultaneous users depends on the concurrent-user seats purchased.[2]

  3. With the NLX option of the network licence, a user can check out a seat for a chosen period and work offline; the seat returns to the server when the period ends.[3]

  4. State and state-recognised universities and colleges can receive a free licence of the APIS IQ Software for research and teaching.[4]
