AMAG Technology
AMAG Technology makes the Symmetry range of physical security software and hardware, covering access control, video management, identity management and visitor management. Its software is licensed through authorized resellers under a Software License Agreement that ties use to license keys and unique license numbers.
Licensing at a Glance
- Per device
Licence sales by an authorized reseller must be on terms consistent with the Software License Agreement, and the customer's rights to the software and its licence keys are limited to those explicitly granted in its contract.[1]
The software is in use on a computer or device when it is loaded or installed there; licences are issued with unique license numbers, and customers must provide evidence of full licensing on written request.[2]
Customers may copy the software for support, testing and backup (including disaster recovery), may not rent or lease it, and may transfer their rights permanently only if all copies, materials and the latest update and prior versions go to a recipient who accepts the agreement.[3]
Licences may be terminated if the customer fails to comply with the agreement, in which case all copies must be destroyed.[4]
