Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE International) makes enterprise communication platforms such as OmniPCX Enterprise, OXO Connect and Rainbow, together with network switches and Wi-Fi. Its software is licensed under an end user licence agreement, with usage limited to the seats and quantities in the purchase order.

  1. The EULA grants a non-exclusive, personal licence to use the software in object code form for internal business purposes only, either as incorporated in ALE products or as a standalone solution where ALE's catalogue permits.[1]

  2. Use is limited to the number of agent workstations/seats and other limits in the separate agreement or accepted purchase order for which licence fees have been paid; a registration number or product authorization key may be needed to obtain a licence key or file.[2]

  3. SUSE operating system software supplied by ALE may be used only in conjunction with an ALE product or solution, not on a standalone basis.[3]

  4. The licensee may not assign or transfer the agreement, except that perpetual licences acquired in an EU member state for a one-time fee may be transferred to a bona fide end user under stated conditions.[4]

  5. The licensor may audit the licensee's records during normal business hours; if non-compliance is found, the licensee pays the appropriate licence fees plus the reasonable cost of the audit.[5]
