Adiscon

Adiscon is the company behind the open-source rsyslog log daemon and sells Windows logging products such as WinSyslog, EventReporter and MonitorWare Agent. Its Windows products are licensed per installation by edition, with a free edition and optional UpgradeInsurance.

  1. Adiscon develops rsyslog, an open-source syslog daemon, alongside commercial Windows logging tools including WinSyslog, EventReporter and MonitorWare Agent.[1]

  2. WinSyslog Free requires no licence purchase and supports up to 3 syslog sending devices; WinSyslog Professional supports up to 100 and WinSyslog Enterprise an unlimited number.[2]

  3. A paid WinSyslog licence covers one installed syslog server, and the edition determines how many devices may send logs to that server.[3]

  4. UpgradeInsurance gives access to releases published during its coverage period (one to five years) and priority support handling.[4]

  5. Volume discounts range from 3% for 2–5 licences to 20% for 51 or more licences.[5]
