Java SE 20 versions
Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap dates apply to commercially supported Oracle JDK releases. Non-LTS releases are treated as a cumulative set of enhancements of the most recent LTS release and are superseded when the next feature release is made available; Oracle lists them as ranges; for a range the dates shown are the first GA date and the last Premier Support end date. Release 29 and the non-LTS releases 27 and 28 are shown as planned. Java SE 7 and earlier come from the Oracle Fusion Middleware Lifetime Support Policy. Java SE 8 Web Start has the same dates as Java SE 8 (March 2022 Premier, December 2030 Extended). Oracle waives the Extended Support uplift fee for Java SE 8 (March 2022 to December 2030), Java SE 11 (October 2023 to January 2032) and the Extended Support fee for Java SE 17 (October 2026 to September 2029).

Lifecycle Policy
- Oracle Lifetime Support Policy. Oracle supports its products in three stages, Premier Support, Extended Support and Sustaining Support, and publishes the end dates of each stage per release; unless noted, each stage runs through the last day of the month. [1][2][3]
- Premier Support. The first stage, generally five years from general availability, covering major releases, technical support, updates, fixes, security alerts, tax, legal and regulatory updates, upgrade scripts and certification with most new third-party and Oracle products. [1]
- Extended Support. An optional stage of up to three further years for specific releases, offered for an additional fee, with updates, fixes and certification with most existing third-party and Oracle products. [1]
- Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap. Oracle provides Premier and Extended Support for Java SE long-term support releases, treats non-LTS releases as superseded by the next feature release, and gives separate dates for Java SE 8 and later LTS releases. [10]
