IBM Informix Standard Engine
IBM Informix Standard Engine (SE) is an SQL-based database engine for UNIX and Linux aimed at small to medium applications and self-contained departments. IBM's technical overview says it needs little database administrator expertise. It offers a cost-based optimizer, B+ tree indexes including unique and clustered, transaction logging and rollback, locking, and client/server capabilities.
