Cisco ASA Software
Cisco ASA Software is the operating system that runs the Cisco ASA family of security devices, providing enterprise firewall and VPN functions. Release 9.0 added clustering of up to eight ASA 5580 or 5585-X units, TrustSec security group integration, Cloud Web Security redirection, IPv6 transition features and clientless VPN enhancements. The same software runs on standalone appliances, hardware blades and virtual form factors for public and private clouds.
