- Licensing Policy v19 §1.2 and §3.8: Kasten is "Licensed per (worker) node"; one unit is consumed per worker node as reported by the Kasten API. Kasten docs: "Multi-Cluster Manager enables licensing all clusters in the same multi-cluster system with a single license." Excess capacity (node limits of valid licences minus worker nodes) is pooled and leased to secondary clusters; leases last one hour and need periodic contact with the primary cluster. Pricing page: the Veeam Kasten Enterprise Trial covers 500 nodes free for 60 days. Support Policy: all nodes must be licensed and aligned to a valid support contract.
