- FactoryTalk Historian SE Ordering Guide (April 2022): data access components (Advanced Server, OLEDB, OPC) require client licensing for third-party applications, bought as an Unlimited User CAL sized by the Historian server tag count; Rockwell Automation client applications such as FactoryTalk View and VantagePoint do not require user CALs. Historian Vision is licensed per named user, maximum 20 per server.
