- ThingWorx Licensing Basis (Eng. rev. Apr 2026): an Asset is any sensor, device, machine, system or web service modeled or registered as an asset (or separately defined part treated as a separate Asset). For Assets managed behind a Gateway, each asset behind the Gateway is an Asset; the Gateway itself does not reduce the count.
