- SAM License (last updated 2025-11-19) Section 1: a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable and royalty-free limited license to use, reproduce, distribute, copy, create derivative works of and modify the SAM Materials. Redistribution must be under the Agreement with a copy of it; research publications must acknowledge use of SAM Materials; use must comply with Trade Controls and may not involve ITAR-controlled or military, nuclear, espionage or weapons end uses. Section 5.b: licenses terminate if the licensee brings IP litigation against Meta over the SAM Materials. The license has no monthly active user threshold.
