- Self-managed licence documentation: Basic never expires; a 30-day trial can be activated once per major product version. Elasticsearch logs expiry warnings 30 days before expiration; on expiry the subscription level reverts to Basic and Platinum and Enterprise features are no longer available. A licence file cannot be installed before its effective date; updates take effect without restart.
