- License Program Guide: user-based AD and Entra ID licensing counts all enabled user accounts in every AD domain with an agent on at least one domain controller, or in every Entra ID tenant configured for backup when protecting Entra ID only. Since Platform Release 11.36 new AD capabilities need an AD user or heartbeat licence. (effective 2026-05-19)
