- NetBackup Product Specific Terms s.2.1 and s.3.3: Traditional meters are per Tiered Server, per Client or Tiered Client, per Tape Drive, per Tiered NAS Device and per Shared Drive; tiers follow physical CPUs. A Master/Media Server licence covers only NetBackup and operating system files on that server; virtual tape needs Data Protection Optimization Option; Oracle RAC needs a server or client plus Oracle agent licence per system; on IBM zSeries each LPAR is licensed as a machine.
