Definition
VantageCloud Lake Pricing guide: "Compute Units are the foundation of Teradata VantageCloud Lake’s compute"; compute is "charged per Unit" and "Units are consumed per minute (one-minute minimum)."
Counting rules
Primary clusters consume Units per node per hour (for example 1.6 Units/node/hour for an XSmall Standard node, 2.0 for Lake, 2.4 for Lake+); compute clusters consume Units per cluster per hour (8 to 384 depending on size and package). The rate depends on the package, cluster type (Primary or Compute) and size, and cloud service provider. Lake documentation: primary cluster consumption per hour is instance size multiplied by instance count; Units are consumed only while compute resources are active.
Floors / minimums
One-minute minimum per consumption event. Primary clusters scale from 2 to 128 nodes (2 to 9 for Standard). Committed Capacity carries a minimum annual commitment that varies by package.
