- Counting rules
- Licences are floating: more instances can be registered than licensed, and only instances with an allocated licence are monitored. DBSH covers any edition of any supported database and includes VM and host metrics; DBSHDS covers DBaaS targets. Legacy Category 1 (required for Oracle Enterprise Edition and similar) and Category 2 licences, Azure SQL Database and VM Option licences remain for existing customers. The same DBSH key can be split between DPA and SQL Sentry.
