- “Core” means an independent specialized piece of integrated circuitry that reads or collects program instructions and executes them, regardless of its location in the computer hardware such as, but without being limited to, a central processing unit (CPU) or a graphics processing unit (GPU). … the exact number of Cores in use by the Software at any given time will be counted as reported by the operating systems on which the Software is running.
- Counting rules
- For SRD-A offerings that are “Core-based” or “per Core”, use is restricted to the compute power of the Cores on the Order; if no number is specified each license entitles one Core; several licenses may be combined (SRD §10.3). MGSP offerings may likewise be limited by compute power (SRD §9.1). Simcenter: each HPC option allows a Serial Session to use one additional Core (Simcenter ST §3.1).
