- Each and every Node managed (directly or indirectly) by the Software or Online Service. Node means a Virtual Node, Physical Node, device or other instance of software. Exhibit 1.D Note 1: Managed Node includes each and every Node managed (directly or indirectly) by Ansible Automation during the term of the Subscription.
- Counting rules
- Count every Node managed during the term, directly or indirectly. Red Hat access.redhat.com article 3331481 (updated 16 April 2025) states you cannot cycle or rotate managed nodes to stay under entitlement. Same Unit name is used for Ansible Automation Platform (Exhibit 1.D) and for Red Hat Satellite (formerly Smart Management); product tables are separate, and there is no conversion between Ansible Managed Node and Satellite Managed Node.
- Floors / minimums
- Device Edge includes one (1) Ansible Automation Platform Managed Node included (Appendix 1 Exhibit 1.B). Satellite includes fifty (50) System entitlements for the management components (Exhibit 1.D §1.1) — that floor is for Satellite management hosts, not a Managed Node packing formula.
