- Counting rules
- Count each instance of the Software executed, in whole or in part, on a virtual machine or in a container. RHEL Server: one Socket-pair subscription covers 2 Virtual Nodes regardless of virtual sockets. Pool/share Virtual Guests only across Systems with the same Service Level and the same Virtual Guest count (1, 4 or unlimited), without exceeding total Virtual Guests of the underlying Subscriptions. The 2016 “single instance for virtual system” accounting differs from this 2025/2026 2-virtual-node packaging.
- Floors / minimums
- RHEL Server: 2 Virtual Nodes per Socket-pair subscription regardless of virtual sockets. Virtual Datacenters SKUs: unlimited Virtual Guests on a Socket-pair (do not include host OS entitlement — Appendix 1 Note 1).
