Definition
Puppet Enterprise Supplemental Terms: "Puppet Core Managed Nodes" means the specific number of Managed Nodes for which Customer has paid applicable subscription license fees as specified in the Order Form. A Node is a Virtual Node, Physical Node, Infrastructure Platform Node or other instance of the offering; Managed Nodes are Nodes deployed by the customer, its Affiliates or contracted third parties and managed under the customer's Puppet instance.
Counting rules
A licence configuration may be applied to one Managed Node only, and to no more Managed Nodes than declared and paid for. Managed Nodes include nodes deployed with any version of Puppet, including open source Puppet, Puppet Core, Puppet Edge, Puppet Enterprise and Puppet Enterprise Advanced. Physical machines, virtual machines, containers, network devices, firewalls and serverless instances can all be Nodes.
Floors / minimums
Puppet Core: no subscription fee while the aggregate number of Managed Nodes does not exceed 25; each Managed Node above 25 needs a subscription licence.
