- nShield HSM licensing: for a CodeSafe application to be installed on an HSM, that HSM needs an activation licence (perpetual) installed, linked to the serial of the unit. Unrestricted Activation loads a self-signed CodeSafe machine; Restricted Activation loads a machine signed by an Entrust-trusted developer using the CodeSafe SDK.
