- Definition
- Licensed Metrics: "“Cloudera Compute Unit” or “CCU” means a combination of Cores and RAM. The number of CCU for a “Node” is calculated as the sum of the number of cores divided by six and the amount of memory (in GB) divided by 12."
- Counting rules
- CCUs = cores / 6 + RAM in GB / 12, per Node (physical Server or Virtual Machine). The pricing update states the calculation is the same on premises and on cloud. On cloud, each certified instance type has a published CCU value (for example an AWS m5.2xlarge with 8 cores and 32 GB is listed at 4.00 CCUs) and is charged per CCU-hour or CCU-minute at the service rate.
