- Microsoft Learn (last updated 2026-09-25): a Prepaid Capacity pack provides "a set number of Copilot Credits (25,000 credits per month). These credits are used first for any Copilot Chat usage in your organization." Paired with a pay-as-you-go billing policy, usage beyond prepaid capacity is billed at the per-credit pay-as-you-go rate; without it, Copilot Chat is unavailable when credits are exhausted. Up to 10 Copilot credit policies per tenant; credit policies are currently only available for Microsoft Copilot Chat.
