- SAP's route for converting part of an on-premise support fee into cloud subscriptions. The Cloud ERP Private Supplement and the tailored option SDG both refer to converting annual on-premise SAP support fees "via the Cloud Extension Program"; the tailored option SDG also names it the "Cloud Extension Policy". SAP does not publish the program terms on its agreements pages.
- Commercial rules
- Named thresholds: SAP AI Technology on on-premise systems requires converting at least 50% of the annual On-Premise Environment support fee via the Cloud Extension Program for customers first subscribing to Core Cloud ERP on or after 2024-10-07 (Supplement v.7-2026 §5.1.2.1). Tailored option customers using S/4HANA Compatibility Packs with on-premise systems must convert at least 50% of the annual on-premise SAP Support Fee on the PTO Order Form effective date (SDG v.4-2026 §5.7.4). A Compatibility Pack extension requires a Corresponding Cloud Service subscribed via the Cloud Extension Policy for at least 3 years (§5.7.5.1.3).
