- Permission set licenses entitle users to access additional features not included in their assigned user license. Users can be assigned any number of permission set licenses. Permission set licenses extend the functionality of user licenses. Permission sets extend users' functional access without changing their profiles.
- Counting rules
- Users can be assigned any number of permission set licenses. For users to access additional license functionality, they must both be assigned the permission set license and a permission set containing the feature permissions. Assigning a permission set tied to a PSL auto-assigns the PSL (related Help: Create a Permission Set Associated with a Permission Set License). Permission set licenses extend the functionality of user licenses; they are not a substitute for the required one user license per user. There is no conversion from User Licenses to Permission Set Licenses.
