- Licensing Policy v19 (June 2026) §3.8: "One (1) license unit is consumed for each occupied motherboard CPU socket as reported by the hypervisor API. Only source hosts are licensed hosts where the VMs that you back up or replicate reside. Target hosts (for replication and migration jobs) do not need to be licensed. Each node of the clustered setup needs to be licensed."
