- Product Appendices (June 2026) Appendix A §4: the number of Subscriptions for a Physical Server is determined by its Sockets. 1-2 Socket servers need one "1-2 Sockets or 1-2 Virtual Machines" or one "Physical only, 1-2 Sockets" Subscription; larger servers stack Subscriptions to match or exceed the Socket count (4 Sockets need 2). A Subscription can only be deployed on the same Physical Server and cannot cover 1 Socket on one server and 1 Socket on another. Exhibit 1 "Stackable": odd Socket counts round up (3 Sockets need 2 Subscriptions).
