- Licensing Oracle Software in the Cloud Computing Environment (as of 4 September 2026, educational): Standard Edition may be licensed on ACE instances up to 16 vCPUs; Standard Edition One and Standard Edition 2 up to 8 vCPUs, with 10 NUP minimum per 8 vCPUs for SE2. Oracle Linux System-metric subscriptions: two VMs totalling no more than 64 vCPUs count as one Basic Limited or Premier Limited system; a VM over 64 vCPUs counts as a Basic or Premier system.
