- IBM Virtualization Capacity License Counting Rules (retrieved 2026-08-31): “SMT/hyperthreading ratios are not adjusted for with sub-capacity licensing. When the total number of virtual cores reaches the physical capacity, no additional cores are counted.” Distinct from Container Licensing HT/SMT factors (2:1 / 4:1 / 8:1). Container HT/SMT factors do not apply to traditional VM sub-capacity.
