- "Rental license" means a license type that grants Veeam Cloud & Service Providers (VCSPs) the right to use the software to perform systems management services for their customers or clients based on monthly usage that's reported and paid for by the VCSP (Licensing Policy v19, §3.20). Rental licenses lift the EULA restriction on processing third-party data (Expanded Usage Rights, page updated 2025-12-17).

- "to participate in this program, the provider must agree to report their license usage each month to Veeam and, therefore, must be able to access reporting for the customer's environment." Consumption is reported "by the third day of each month through the VCSP Pulse platform" and billed by a Veeam Aggregator (Pay-As-You-Go Pricing). Each product has an assigned Point Per Unit (PPU) value by workload and edition.
