- Product Terms: "Certain Dynamics 365 SLs may allow access to the on-premises equivalent." Licensing Guide: "Users with Dynamics 365 licenses have use rights equivalent to a CAL for the purpose of accessing equivalent on-premises workloads."
- Commercial rules
- The Product Terms map each Dynamics 365 SL to its on-premises software and server (for example Sales Enterprise to Dynamics 365 for Sales (On-Premises)). For Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management and Commerce, on-premises rights apply only to the applications for which the user has a cloud SL. Server licenses otherwise needed on-premises are included. Downgrade is limited to Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Dynamics CRM 2016 and Business Central minus two versions. Rights expire with the cloud subscription.
