- A vCPU (virtual CPU) represents a portion or share of a physical CPU that is assigned to a virtual machine. The license quantity required for each Server on which Software licensed by vCPU is installed must be the total number of vCPUs utilized by the Server, as indicated by the virtualization platform.

- Count the vCPUs the virtualization platform reports for each Server with an installation. SharePlex Single Source and/or Target and Single Target: any system in a virtualized environment, including IaaS and DBaaS, must license by vCPU.
